Women7 2022 – The National Council of German Women’s Organisations (Deutscher Frauenrat) has received the mandate to implement the Women7 (W7) process during the German G7 presidency 2022. With a powerful and inclusive W7 process, gender equality issues shall be significantly advanced.

During the W7 policy process, international women’s civil society elaborates W7 policy recommendations, represents its issues within the G7 negotiations and draws public attention to the importance of gender equality in the G7 negotiations. In order to advance jointly gender equality, we are looking for experienced advisors to develop W7 recommendations and to place the topic high on the political agenda. Online consultations will start beginning of next year, January/ February 2022.

The requirements to become an international W7 advisors are:

• Experience in international multilateral processes
• Several years of experience of advocacy for gender equality
• Practical experience in lobbying decision-makers
• Special expertise in one of the priority areas
• Representative of a civil society organisation working (also) on gender equality
• Fluency in English
• Well connected and highly motivated

For clarification: This is a voluntary activity that cannot be remunerated. Nor does it automatically give rise to claims for reimbursement of travel costs or other expenses.

Der Deutsche Frauenrat wurde von der Bundeskanzlerin mandatiert, den Women7-Prozess im Rahmen der G7-Präsidentschaft Deutschlands 2022 durchzuführen. Anhand eines wirkmächtigen zivilgesellschaftlichen W7-Prozesses sollen gleichstellungspolitische Themen deutlich vorangebracht werden. Dafür suchen wir erfahrene Berater*innen, die sich für die Teilnahme am internationalen Konsultationsprozess und der Erarbeitung von W7-Forderungen einbringen möchten.
